When you ask for help and people refuse to help you.
When you feel vulnerable and in need of emotional support but none is coming.
When you feel in need of support for your decisions but you don’t get it.
When you feel weak, sick and physically unable.
When there is so many uncertainties that you wish you knew the outcome of or could resolve but can’t.
Don’t think of it as doors closing. Think of it as ALLAH opening new doors for you; the doors of tawakkul and trust in ALLAH.
HE is directing you away from reliance on the creation and even from reliance on yourself and taking you towards reliance on HIM alone.
HE is opening the doors of reliance on HIM and only HIM and in that moment remember that HE, THE OPENER, is most capable of bringing you out of your situation into something better and indeed these doors that build your soul, your faith and your inner strength can never compare to any temporary support that you could have received from anyone.
These doors build you up for new horizons, new growth, new learning and a renewed closeness to your Rabb that you could never have achieved had someone supported you and given you a temporary solution in your moment of difficulty.
Despite all that it does not mean it’s easy, it doesn’t mean it’s not testing and it doesn’t mean that you’re not going to feel vulnerable, raw and weak. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to be scared. You are going to feel all of those things but in the end the gift and strength gained is going to be worth it. It’s going to add a new dimension to your existence, your character and your soul.
So in those moments when you feel weak and unable, in those moments when everyone turns away, you feel stuck and alone and unable to solve your dilemmas remember ALLAH is directing you back to HIM and back to forming a strong attchment and reliance on HIM alone and indeed the one who receives these gifts from their Rabb is in receipt of great blessings.
And remember, HE will never leave you as long as you keep holding a good opinion of HIM and expecting GOOD of him. HE will find your way out for you in ways you couldn’t have imagined yourself.
For indeed ALLAH will be for you as you think HIM to be.
ALLAH says in a hadith qudsi: “I am as my servant thinks of me.”
So when you’re feeling stuck in your life, in your health, in your marriage, in your business or in your goals expand your perspective and look for the new level that ALLAH is trying to push you towards. Re-frame it as an opening, a learning and an opportunity for growth.
HE never closes a door except to open another one that is greater and better for you and indeed HE is always there helping HIS servant in ways the servant cannot imagine.
